5 Months!!!!! I feel like I was just writing about her four month birthday! But another month has passed and she has truly grown a lot. This month was all about feet and faces and grabbing them both :) One week she found her feet and the next week she was eating them and now it is constant entertainment :) And she absolutely loves faces now. She loves to be up right next to your face and will smile and coo and touch your face.... or painfully grab it :) She especially likes Daddy's head, for some reason, and always laughs really hard if he bends his head down for her to play with his hair :) So cute! She loves her paci, no matter what part of it she manages to get in her mouth. Who knew that the handle works as a great teether? But she can actually put in her mouth correctly, which is very exciting :) She fell in love with her swing and jumper and a little toy red bird. And she talks nonstop in her own little language. She has complete gibberish conversations with me regularly and and really enjoys them, as do I! She doesn't mind being on her tummy quite so much no and thinks socks are only for pulling off. Luckily, she still allows me to put bows in her hair, for which I am truly thankful..he, he. She still likes the standing position best, especially if it is close to your face. If you want to make her squeal, all you have to do is kiss her neck or blow on her belly :) She loves everyone who smiles at her and doesn't mind complete strangers holding her and playing with her. Her smile is undoubtedly contagious and comes easily and her daddy and I have so much fun making her smile and laugh!! Oh, how I love her!!!!
We took Karis to give my Dad his favorite Halloween candy at work. The package was red (her favorite color) and crinkled ever so nicely, so she decided the candy was for her instead! But she looked so cute in her little bug outfit that my Dad said she could keep the treat -- he was just so excited that she came to visit. Thanks so much to all our Stanley friends who made the visit so fun!
I've neglected to let everyone know that Karis is now sitting pretty well on her own now. She still topples over if she reaches for a toy to far away or gets tired, so if I'm not right beside her, I put the boppy around her. (As seen in the last picture.) She enjoys that as well :)
